PartnerAlliances names pharmaceutical industry veteran Joseph Fix, Ph.D. to the Advisory Council.
Joseph brings a wealth of executive management, operational, and scientific research competencies
with more than twenty years of experience leading and managing major pharmaceutical companies.
Joseph will serve as a key advisor within the Life Sciences strategic alliance practice. Joseph's
experience and ability to develop and deliver winning business strategies in the pharmaceutical
industry culminate from his leadership responsibilities while serving as Chief Operating Officer
at Elan Pharmaceutical's NanoSystems division, President & Chief Technology Officer and Board of
Directors at Yamanouchi Pharma Technology, and various senior executive and research roles at Alza
Corporation, and Merck & Co.
Joseph earned his Ph.D. in Neurophysiology at the University of Kansas, and a Master of Business
Management from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business. He has authored more than 65
manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, holds 18 US Patents in drug delivery, is a Board
Member for the Controlled Release Society, and serves on the Editorial Board for Drug Delivery
Technology.
