Former Intel Veteran Bill Munson joins Advisory Council bringing 20 years of technology innovation, engineering, intellectual property review, and merger / acquisition due diligence experience to the IP Licensing practice.
During his twenty-year tenure with Intel Corporation, Mr. Munson worked in a number of areas within the company, from microprocessor components to complete PC systems to video conferencing and imaging products. Along the way, fifteen patents were issued to him in the areas of imaging, graphics, serial bus architecture, and microprocessor system design. While in Intel's component group, Mr. Munson worked on numerous microprocessor, and graphics products. After moving to the systems group, he architected a highly integrated low profile PC, and was a graphics specialist until he was recruited to start up Intel's Video Conferencing effort. From there, he architected video conferencing hardware, camera interfaces, and eventually the first USB digital camera. Concurrent with this effort was the development of high-speed serial bus architecture and protocols for future products. Mr. Munson was a member of Intel's Intellectual Property (patent) review committee, and a technical member of various merger/acquisition due diligence teams.
Mr. Munson earned a BSEE from the University of Illinois.
