According to The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA),
High Technology companies today face immense pressure to leverage
corporate alliances to achieve greater results, as opposed to doing
everything themselves. The trend is for greater use of alliances - 92%
of U.S technology companies say that alliances are important to present
and future growth, 77% claim they are already involved with alliances;
surprisingly, these firms demonstrate 43% greater revenue than their
non-aligned counterparts, 82% of Fortune 1000 CEOs believe that
alliances will be responsible for more than 26% of their companies'
revenues.
Developing clear strategic goals, defining and refining your portfolio,
understanding your competencies and limitations, benchmarking against the competition,
understanding your customers' needs and communicating the value of your offerings to your partners,
are critical components to consider when defining and developing your strategic alliance initiatives.
The fundamentals for bringing best-of-breed partner solutions to market are greatly enhanced when you
apply simple methodologies.
